NTO mission: Information and promotion activities

  • Promote and disseminate all information regarding the Tempus programme and other EU programmes in the field of higher education (eg: Erasmus Mundus)
  • Organise conferences, seminars, information days, and other actions and events to promote the Tempus programme and to exploit its results
  • Observe and disseminate the latest visibility guidelines concerning acknowledgement of EU financing of all Tempus projects and activities

NTO mission: Assistance to potential applicants and to beneficiaries

  • Advise, inform and assist potential applicants
  • Organise information/contact meetings, seminars for potential applicants
  • Assist in the search of national or foreign partners (liaise with other NTOs or EU Member States National Contact Points)
  • Assistance to institutions involved in project implementation (in relation to visa, tax, importing equipment and contacts with local authorities)
  • Promote inter project cooperation and enhance synergy between projects

NTO mission: Field monitoring

  • Organise and conduct field monitoring visits
  • Assist EACEA and other actors in their field monitoring / audit visits
  • Assist EU officials or experts contracted by the EU/EACEA in their visits to the country (sectoral studies, policy studies, project identification or formulation, mid term or final evaluations)
  • Maintain regular contacts with all stakeholders (local authorities, universities, etc)
  • Support to the teams of Higher education reform Experts.

Education and Career EXPO 2014

On April 16-18 «Yerevan Expo» exhibition complex hosted international specialized exhibition "Education and Career EXPO 2014," which is one of the leading events dedicated to this sector.

During the event, 8 Tempus projects (SuToMa, MPPHSS, ASPIRE, GIDEC, MAPB, MAHATMA, UNIMIG, NMPLIS) and Erasmus+ programme were presented.The entrance was free.


Introduction of Tempus Ongoing Projects to the AUA Community

In order to promote the Tempus ongoing projects at American University of Armenia (AUA), the university organised a presentation of the four Tempus projects in which AUA is currently involved, namely:

1.iCo-op (Industrial Cooperation and Creative Engineering Education based on Remote Engineering and Virtual Instrumentation: http://www.ico-op.eu/);

2.PEOPLE (Promoting Educational Organisation through people);

3.GOVERN (Fostering Autonomy and Accountability: Development of State-of-the-art HE Management System for Efficient Changes in Line with Bologna Principles);

4.TNE_QA (Promoting quality and recognition of transnational education in Armenia and Georgia).

The event took place on April 11, in Manoogian Hall in the Paramaz Avedisian Building at American University of Armenia.


Meeting with the Members of the English Speaking Club

On April 5 2014, NTO representative met with the members of the English Speaking Club which is implemented by "Active Young Citizens Initiative" NGO.

During the meeting the participants were presented with the main activities of the Tempus programmethe new Erasmus+ Programme and Erasmus Mundus ongoing projects.

Visit to Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute

On March 26, 2014 NTO-Armenia representatives visited Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute (GSPI). The aim of the visit was to hold meetings with the management, academic and administrative staff of the institute; to discuss and monitor ongoing Tempus projects.

Within the scope of the visit NTO-Armenia coordinator conducted a presentation for GSPI academic and administrative staff on the new Erasmus+ programme. Erasmus+ is the EU’s new programme for education, training, sport and youth which will provide more opportunities for students and staff in the Eastern Partnership countries to study or train in the European Union and vice versa.
