The MA Advanced Development in Social Work (ADVANCES) is Erasmus Mundus Action 1 Scholarship programme designed for practitioners who want to develop their practice skills in order to promote social justice in the face of rapid global changes.
ADVANCES participants will study in five leading universities across Europe over two years and graduate as part of a global community of social work practice. The application deadline is 1 January 2013. Full details are available on the programme website:
Tempus HEN-GEAR Project's (Higher Education Network for Human Capital Assessment and Graduates Employability in Armenia: www.hen-gear.net) Insitutional Meeting and Steering Committe was held on December 2, 2013 at Armenian State University of Economics.
HEN-GEAR projects aims to establish an integrated demand supply matching model based on the graduates' database designed for: collecting and analyzing data on university and graduates performances, facilitating the placement of graduates in the labour market, and improving internal and external efficiency of the higher education system.
The European Commission's Directoral General Education and Culture is offering a large number of scholarships to university graduates from the European Neighbourhood Policy countries for post-graduate studies at the College of Europe (Bruges or Natolin (Warsaw) campus) during the academic year 2014-2015. The scholarships cover academic expenses, accommodation, meals and travel costs.
The countries concerned are: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine.
The deadline for the submission of applications is 15th January 2014.

On November 5-8 2013 the representative of Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) Mr. Franz Steidele visited Armenia. Mr Steidele is responsible for the South Caucasus region.
Within the framework of the visit official meetings were held at EU Delegation with Mr. Hoa-Binh Adjemian, Head of Operations Section, and Ms. Irina Movsesyan, Project Manager, and at RA Ministry of Education and Science with Ms. Karine Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister.
Franz Steidele together with the representatives of the National Tempus Office in Armenia carried out field monitoring of four ongoing Tempus projects (Geographic information technology for sustainable development in Eastern neighbouring countries (GIDEC), Industrial Cooperation and Creative Engineering Education based on Remote Engineering and Virtual Instrumentation (iCo-op), Armenian Coordination Agency "University – Employer" (ARARAT), Higher Education Network for Human Capital Assessment and Graduates Employability in Armenia (HEN-GEAR)). A visit was also arranged at Gavar State University where meetings were held with the Rector, project teams and students.
Mr Steidele also met with the representatives of the newly selected six Tempus projects with Armenian coordination. The aim of the meeting was to inform the project coordinators about the main rules and the essential documentation to be considered during project implementation and to provide preliminary advice.
