NTO mission: Information and promotion activities

  • Promote and disseminate all information regarding the Tempus programme and other EU programmes in the field of higher education (eg: Erasmus Mundus)
  • Organise conferences, seminars, information days, and other actions and events to promote the Tempus programme and to exploit its results
  • Observe and disseminate the latest visibility guidelines concerning acknowledgement of EU financing of all Tempus projects and activities

NTO mission: Assistance to potential applicants and to beneficiaries

  • Advise, inform and assist potential applicants
  • Organise information/contact meetings, seminars for potential applicants
  • Assist in the search of national or foreign partners (liaise with other NTOs or EU Member States National Contact Points)
  • Assistance to institutions involved in project implementation (in relation to visa, tax, importing equipment and contacts with local authorities)
  • Promote inter project cooperation and enhance synergy between projects

NTO mission: Field monitoring

  • Organise and conduct field monitoring visits
  • Assist EACEA and other actors in their field monitoring / audit visits
  • Assist EU officials or experts contracted by the EU/EACEA in their visits to the country (sectoral studies, policy studies, project identification or formulation, mid term or final evaluations)
  • Maintain regular contacts with all stakeholders (local authorities, universities, etc)
  • Support to the teams of Higher education reform Experts.

Career Day at European Regional Educational Academy

European Regional Educational Academy, with the support of USAID Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness Project, organized a Career Day on May 17 2012, at 11:00-15:00.
The event was aimed at professional orientation and career guidance of youth.

From 12:40 to 13:00 the National Tempus Office in Armenia conducted a presentation on TEMPUS and Erasmus Mundus programmes.

Europe Day in Armenia 2012

The celebration of Europe Day took place on 12 May 2012 at Northern Avenue (16:00pm - 22:00pm). The celebration started with the information fair on European culture and EU-Armenia cooperation.

A separate information booth was allocated to NTO-Armenia where TEMPUS and ERASMUS MUNDUS programmes were presented. Tempus 6 projects' activities and results were presented, as well as a presentation was conducted on the Erasmus Mundus program.

Simultaneous with the information fair, traditional dance workshops, contests and games were organized.
The event was concluded with folk fusion and DJ party.

2012 Ministerial Conference and Bologna Policy Forum, Bucharest

On 26-27 April, 2012 the eighth Bologna / EHEA Ministerial Conference and third edition of the Bologna Policy Forum will be held at the Palace of the Parliament, Bucharest (Romania).
The conference is aimed at assessing the progress of the Bologna Process and setting out the key policy issues for the future. The EHEA ministers will jointly adopt the Bucharest Ministerial Communiqué, committing to further the Bologna goals until 2020. 47 European Higher Education Area ministerial delegations, representatives from the European Commission, as well as the Bologna Process consultative members and Bologna Follow-Up Group partners will participate in the event.
The 2012 Bologna Policy Forum is aimed to intensify policy dialogue and cooperation with partners across the world. The Forum will be finalised with the adoption of the 2012 Bologna Policy Forum Statement. Around 100 ministerial delegations from all regions and 30 international organisations will take part in both events.

Study Visit for HEREs

On April 23-24, 2012 a study visit on "Diversification of Funding, Autonomy and Strategic Planning" will take place in Vienna, Austria. Higher Education Reform Experts of Partner Countries and national teams of Bologna Experts will participate in the event.
The study visit will address issues on financial sustainability, accountability and autonomy of universities. The event will also offer the opportunity to gain insights on fundraising structures at universities as means to develop diversification of funding, and to examine methods to establish priorities when designing a strategic plan within a national legal framework.
