The kick-off meeting of the Tempus ARMAZEG Project (Developing tools for lifelong learning in Transcaucasus region: e-Learning) will be held on 11-12 March, 2014 at L.A. Orbeli Institute of Physiology.
The project aims to implement higher educational reform in Armenian and Georgian universities with a view of societal impact, through developing and implementing relevant lifelong learning programmes supported through e-learning.
Tempus ATHENA Project's Workshop on "Fostering Sustainable and Autonomous Higher Education Institutions"
As part of Tempus ATHENA Project, which aims to foster university autonomy in Armenia,Ukraine and Moldova, Yerevan State University is hosting a Workshop dedicated to the topic of university autonomy and funding in Armenia on 6 March 2014.
This one-day event is organised by the European University Association (EUA) and the Armenian project partners, namely Yerevan State University, State Engineering University of Armenia, Gavar State University, State Universities Rector Council, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
University autonomy and financial sustainability are key conditions enabling universities to fulfil their mission. Reforms of the governance and funding systems are therefore a crucial element in the modernisation of higher education.

On February 28, 2014 AEGEE-Yerevan organised Erasmus+ Info Action Day. The event took place at the EU Centre in Armenia.
Erasmus+ Info Action Day aimed to raise the awareness of the Armenian students, as well as the civil society youth organizations on the new educational and training possibilities provided by the European Union new programme Erasmus+.
During the event National Tempus Office Coordinator Lana Karlova conducted a presentation on "Formal Educational Opportunities" within Erasmus+ programme.
The kick-off meeting of the Tempus MEDGEN Project (Developing Medical Genetics Education through Curriculum Reforms and Establishment of Postgraduate Training Programs) was held on 19-21 February, 2014 at Yerevan State Medical University. The project aims to develop and implement modules in Medical Genetics (MG), build capacity for teaching MG, introduce EU standards in teaching MG andestablish an international MG network.
Tempus TNE_QA Project's (Promoting Quality and Recognition of Transnational Education in Armenia and Georgia) kick-off meeting took place at French University in Armenia Foundation on 20-21 February, 2014. The wider objective of TNE_QA is to to enhance quality, and promote regulation and recognition of transnational education provisions in Armenia and Georgia through establishing internal Higher Education Instituteions (HEIs) and external (EQA) quality assurance mechanisms in line with OECD/UNESCO guidelines.
